As my grandfather, Maurice Scott, was one of the hundreds of WWI veterans killed while working at Islamorada, FL. while working for FERA during the depression building the bridges and railroads and abandoned during the great Labor Day Hurricane of 1935 The great irony is that the song was written three years earlier with "no lessons learned". Named "The Storm of the <20th> Century" it was virtually unknown to present generations until Hurricane Katrina made landfall in at the beginning of the 21st century in 2005. Are there any "lessons learned"?
